Planning a wedding can turn into a nightmare for both the bride and groom and you surely don’t want anything spoiling this big day for you. After having said that decisive YES, you’re in for quite the agitated period when you have to sort everything out. If you want to keep everything under control while avoid becoming a “Bridezilla”, here are a couple of suggestions that will help you manage the last 24 hours before the event.

  1. First of all, make sure that the wedding dress is spotless and kept in a safe place.
  2. Try to put together an emergency kit for the wedding day. Include: band aids, wet and dry tissues, hair pins, safety pins and maybe 1 or 2 pills (for head and stomach aches).
  3. Make sure that you use waterproof makeup. You are bound to shed a couple of tear on your wedding day and you don’t want to end up with mascara all over your face. Transfer resistant lipstick is also a must.
  4. If your bridal party is planning that whole “steal the bride” moment, make sure that you are not gone for too long.
  5. Try to overlook the little things that don’t exactly go according to plan. This is probably the only wedding day you’re even going to have, so carpe diem.
  6. This time, you really have to be the life of the party. You need to show everyone that you are having a blast at your wedding. If your guests don’t really feel like dancing, you need to call them on the dance floor. Be happy, keep smiling and talk to all the guests.
  7. We know that nerves and stress won’t let you stick to your eating schedule, but whatever you do, don’t get married on an empty stomach. You’ll probably be busy with greeting all the guests and such and turn down food, but you at least have to try those delicious meals from the menu you paid for.
