As you can see, each of these days targets different muscle groups, and you don’t get much overlap. This enables your body to have enough time to recover from your previous workout but still allows you to workout every day. 

Are There Health Benefits to Working Out Every Day? 

A healthy lifestyle consists of at least five days a week of cardio and a few days of weight training. However, since you’re practicing calisthenics, you’ll need to remember that your workouts combine both of those components. 

The main benefit of working out every day is you’ll be able to reduce fat cells, increase your strength, and build muscles. Although, you can do more harm than good if you’re not learning to balance or resting between each workout.  

Should You Workout Every Day? 

Would we necessarily recommend that you work out every day? No. The reason we don’t suggest you do this is that every human needs to learn how to recover their energy and give their body proper time to recover. 

If you don’t allow your muscles to recover, then your cells start to turn on themselves, and they end up eating each other for nutrients. This not only sets you back on progress but also prevents you from maintaining your current muscle mass. 

Using calisthenics, you need to be careful with which type of workouts you do every day. The benefit of working out daily with calisthenics is that you can easily break up your workout so that it takes less time to complete a full workout for a specific muscle group. If you’re doing multiple muscle groups, though, we suggest you switch to every other day.

  • Switch Up Your Routine: If you’re working out every day, we highly suggest that you change up your routine for each day of the week. The more variation in movements, exercises, and workouts enable you to target different muscle groups with each day. 
  • Get Good Sleep: It’s easy to overlook the fact that by sleeping at least eight hours every day, your body has enough time to recover. If you’re skipping out on sleep, you may be hindering your bodies natural ability to recuperate.
